The reverse view to Image The LED light is not really throwing out green ectoplasm - that is an internal reflection in the camera lens. The cyclist is evidently starting to dematerilise as he approaches the speed of light, sorry, as it approaches the light! Today the remaining sodium lamps have been replaced with cheaper-to-run LED ones. In the background of the shot we see the storage towers of Bury sugar refinery, and the stream of cloud from its chimney.
