The photograph on this page of Map on the Pavement by Anne Burgess as part of the Geograph project.
The Geograph project started in 2005 with the aim of publishing, organising and preserving representative images for every square kilometre of Great Britain, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

The wiggling metal strip inset into the pavement is actually a map of the Water of Leith. It is part of the Millennium project to create the Water of Leith Walkway.
