Situated at the corner of Canmore Street and The New Row The Alhambra was built in 1922 as a theatre; in 1924 it became a cinema, this lasted until the mid sixties when like many other cinemas it was converted to a bingo hall. It finally closed its doors in February 2006. It is classed as a B-listed building, more for the interior than the exterior. Image
