Blondie is clearly the nickname of Robert Beavers, who was lost at sea in December 1986 and is commemorated by fishermen (it says, 'remembered by local fisherman') by this stone in the wall abutting the quay by the lifeboat station. It ends with the phrase "Sleep in Heavenly Peace".
