The North Downs Way descends into the valley via Upper Bush before crossing Bush Road and ascending the other side. This is the path as it ascends to come alongside the railway line between Sole Street and Rochester, before crossing it and heading across Ranscombe Farm to the Medway Bridge. To the right are some long back gardens on the outskirts of Cuxton.
