Obeliskal headstones are unusual; this one is of polished grey granite. London Road, Coventry is one of the earliest municipal cemeteries in Britain. It was laid out from 1846 by Joseph Paxton; it saw its first interment in December 1847. It has a rich variety of memorials of all periods.
