Office block of grey brick and mirrored glass built in 1964 and currently occupied by London South Bank University. A few years ago a planning application was lodged to replace this with a tower - subsequently reduced in height due to objections - but it has yet to get off the drawing board. Enjoy 47-year-old Eileen while you can... Update: the day after posting this image, Southwark Council rejected an application to build a 41-storey block of flats on this site in the face of opposition from the nightclub over the road, the Ministry of Sound, who argued that residents' inevitable objections to noise would lead to the club's closure. Update: Eileen staggered on for a few more years before succumbing to the inevitable: Image
