A view of the entrance lodge to Port Eliot shown in Image, with Church Street on the left. The pair of lodges, in "Tudor Gothic style" http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-62096-town-lodge-st-germans and with embattled oriels and parapets, dates from about 1840.
