Round the back of the new Watford Fire Station (see Image) is the new Fire Museum. Open on usually the first Saturday of the month April to October 1-4pm - see www.watfordmuseum.org.uk. It is just across the road from the Watford Museum. The appliance on display here is a 1937 Leyland open Pump Escape which was in use at St Albans until the 1960s.
