Having been to most of the famous viewpoints in Greater London, I feel the little-known view from Dawson's Hill in East Dulwich seen here is one of the best, mainly because of the unobstructed nature and wide range of the panorama. My other main contenders would be Alexandra Palace, Norwood Grove, Primrose Hill, Addington Hills, The Point on Blackheath, Pollards Hill and Havering-atte-Bower by the water tower. Although good, none of them in my opinion quite match up. In this photograph, The Shard (still under construction when the picture was taken) towers over the other blocks in the City of London. To its left are the hills of Highgate and Hampstead on the skyline. The Wembley Arch and Harrow-on-the-Hill can usually be seen further round to the left and on exceptionally clear days Windsor Castle can be seen.
