In 1671 The Revd William Mompesson from Eyam, Derbyshire arrived at St Andrews church, Eakring. The Dand memorial is a memorial to his parents and brother of Mompesson’s second wife Elizabeth, all buried here. Inscription is hard to read but names are Rowland, Margaret and John Dand. Sandstone and slate, it was recently repainted.
