St Enoch is one of the most unusual shopping centres I have ever seen. It is basically a huge Postmodernist greenhouse that is over six storeys high at the centre! In fact, it is actually depicted on the OS 25k maps as a glasshouse rather than a standard structure. Until 1966, this was St Enoch railway station but like several other city centre railway stations, it fell victim to rationalisation plans.
