This is the tower of the Church of St Peter and St Paul, built of ironstone and in the Decorative style apart from the ashlar-faced top stage, which is in Perpendicular style. There was a spire that was removed in the 17C. (Nikolaus Pevsner, The Buildings of England, p.307-8)
