Terrace Gardens were previously a brickworks. The gardens of the houses erected in the 18th century were eventually joined together to form Terrace Gardens. Some features of the Gardens' history remain, including a re-sited statue of the River God and an ice house. This view looks up the hill towards the houses of Richmond Hill. The more usual view is from Richmond Hill looking down to the river.
