Located on Church Lane, a few metres from the parish church. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2538284 Now a private dwelling, this was formerly the residence of the parish rector. A rector was a clergyman to whom the church tithes were payable, in contrast to a parish in the charge of a vicar, where the tithes were payable to a chapter, religious house, or lay person.
