The Earl of Rutland's Hospital dates from 1590 and is Grade II listed - see http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-190073-the-earl-of-rutland-hospital-bottesford This photograph of its attractive limestone and ironstone walls was taken against the light on a July evening. The 1980s concrete tiles are regrettable, their drab colour out of keeping in the East Midlands.
