The Hounslow Loop was opened in 1849 as was Kew Bridge station. This is the view from the end of the platform under Chiswick High Road towards Chiswick. Beyond the bridge can be seen the lines of the north-eastern curve joining. These date from 1862 and once had a station but are now freight only - see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2515170
