According to www.schoolsnet.com the college was founded as a secondary school in 1921 which fits in with the Art Deco style. Either side of the central entrance are two long wings and the google satellite shows they extend around the building to form a central quadrangle. In 1945 it became a grammar school and in 1974 the three-tier system which was established in the Frome area.
