Curious Victorian detail over the door lintel of a house in Harrison Road, featuring a medallion with the face of a maiden and a scroll bearing the word 'Hope' wrapped around a ship's anchor, the whole surrounded by decorative thistles. The symbols must have had a significance at the time which will be lost on today's passers-by.
