The premises of one of Edinburgh's last chimney sweeps, a family business run by the third generation to ply the trade. Edinburgh created Scotland's first smokeless zone at the Sighthill Industrial Estate in 1950. With the introduction of the Clean Air Act six years later, this was extended to include the neighbouring Broomhouse district, followed by further Smoke Control Areas over the next decade and a half. http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2008/dec/20/working-life-chimney-sweep
