Since my last visit here in the Summer of 2009 - Image, there have been considerable changes at the old Down Shoes Factory (later Lotus Shoes) on the Newry Road in Banbridge. A developer, Lotus Homes, have begun demolishing parts of the factory whilst retaining most of the main building and frontage. This is to be converted into apartments. More townhouses will be constructed on a site to the south - making a 'Lotus Village'.
