Cardea, the name given to a large development just to the south of Stanground near Peterborough. Cardea is also the name given to the Roman Goddess of the Hinge, or more precisely the pivot hinge (the hinge point being in the floor and the ceiling allowing for a door to hinge both ways) for reference see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cardea Prospective purchasers of these houses will be buoyed by the fact that the carpenters have taken an extra minute to get the doors hung perfectly out of respect for this Deity.
