The Foxcote Inn was originally created about 250 years ago when two cottages were combined to build an alehouse known as the Snig. In the mid 19th Century it became known as The Railway. Then about 20 years ago it was re-named the Foxcote Manor, then later shortened to its present name. Update: The Foxcote has now changed to The Foxcote Tea Rooms and Bygone Centre. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3331528
