The A40 from Abergavenny reaches the small village of Glangrwyney. Someone has used white paint to obliterate the final 'y' on the name sign, perhaps because it is perceived as an incorrect form of the Welsh Grwyne, which is the name of the small tributary of the River Usk flowing through the village. However, 'Glangwryney' appears to be the generally used spelling for the village.
