The A70 was being resurfaced and was closed. Fortunately at this time rain was falling heavily so at the price of a soaking I was able to sneak through and avoid a long diversion on very busy roads. The lorries are waiting for the old surface to be removed. The bridge here is over the Glasgow to Carlisle railway.
