Tucked away up Hare Street Road from the village is the cemetery of St Hugh's Catholic Church which is in the village. Curiously the church appears disused whereas the cemetery is quite new. The 1921 Ordnance Survey map, and all earlier editions, show this plot as part of a field. It is only in the 1975 edition, the next currently available online, that the field is partitioned with the eastern half becoming the consecrated ground of the cemetery.
