Canal Cut Bridge at the end of The Wharf

This was a cut from the Rother Canal to the wharf at Midhurst which closed some time in the second half of the 1800's. Rowing boats could be hired from the canal basin, in front of the bridge, for 6d a day in 1905. What water there is today from South Pond flows into the River Rother a few yards east.
