This is a reverse view to that shown in the First Geograph taken in this square Image in November 2005. Spring Pond is one of four large ponds on top of the hill above Stanmore. The houses on the other side date from the 1860s and were built to provide accommodation for staff and for stabling for the nearby Stanmore Hall. They are Grade II Listed Buildings.
