Redolent of the era is this 1959 view. In the distance, a 'Coronation' class tram is just departing for Blackpool, while two 'Balloon' class double-deck cars will form the next departures, and 'Pantograph' car 169 waits on the lay-by. In the background, the building is Fleetwood railway station, an early Beeching casualty, and a 'Morris 8' motor car is parked at the side of the road.
