Ye old Painswick Inn

This magnificent stone built Grade II listed, former pub was constructed in 1896 (the date is on the two gables). It is a striking building, with carved hops and grapes and the name of the pub. The Painswick Inn, featured in the 1990 Camra publication - "Pubs in Gloucestershire", it closed in the mid 1990's. It is now The Painswick Inn project, which houses a number of separate businesses, including a funeral director. Sourse - Gloucestershire pubs
