Photographers catching the moment as the Image tackles one of the steepest parts of Talerddig Bank. Bradley Manor was working flat out at this point as can be seen from the shadow the vertical blast of the exhaust is casting across the rock face and trees. This engine was hauling its maximum permissible load for this line in BR days and by this time was down to about 20mph as tackled the bank in the same way as trains normally did on every day when steam reigned supreme. The fireman commented afterwards that he hadn't had time to watch the proceedings as he'd spent the entire climb continually shovelling coal into the firebox!
