One of NIR's ancient MPD sets passes the closed Mossley station with the 10.55 Londonderry - York Road passenger train. This station, which closed in 1965, had staggered platforms on either side of a typical LMS (NCC) concrete overbridge, which dated from 1931. A new Mossley station has since opened to the west of this location.
