View northward, towards Preston etc., West Coast Main Line. Dieselisation is creeping in - albeit with an unsatisfactory Type 2 1,200hp Metro.-Vickers Co-Bo, No. D5705 (built 12/58, withdrawn 9/68). Its train is the Summer Saturdays 13.03 Workington - Manchester Victoria.
