The construction of the Phase 3b tramway extension, from Droylsden to Ashton-under-Lyne town centre, is at a very early stage. Here preparatory work is being done, prior to track laying. This section runs on private reservation on the north side of Lord Sheldon Way. On the right is part of the Sheldon Arms pub. The building in the distance is occupied by Topps Tiles.
