I don't know. You wait six years for the most photogenic building in the grid square to be recorded on Geograph, and then two photographers pass by in the same month! Please see Robin's Image from a few weeks previously. Old Ordnance Survey maps show that a public house has existed in this location for a long time and the current building is certainly not the first. It is locally listed by the London Borough of Redbridge who describe it thus:- "Late 19th Century Public House. Three storeys and attic. Red brick, stone dressings and slate roof, part mansard. Ground floor entrance with freestanding columns under projecting cornice and projecting single arch arcade to first floor above. Flanking two storey canted bays. Windows with prominent stone mullions. Side elevations with Flemish gables incorporating chimney stacks. A flamboyant fin de siècle building."
