The south entrance to Blagdon Hall. A typically refined classical job by James Wyatt, in 1786, consisting of a pair of octagonal lodges linked by a Doric screen. The gate piers are surmounted by white-painted bulls (supporter animals of the Ridleys, whose seat this is). The elegant niches and festoons on the lodges are characteristic of Wyatt's classical style. Grade II* listed.
