This stone cottage was thatched until 1957, when the thatch was replaced by tiles. The photographer was born there, and lived there up to 1957. The house has the date 1627 carved above the front door. The lean-to extension at this end is the kitchen. The cottage had an acre of fruit orchard, apple and plum trees. The cottage stands well back from the road, and several houses have been built on the part of the orchard near the road. 6cm square black and white photo taken with an Agfa Isolette.
