The Chiltern Way crosses this private course just in front of the fifth tee (off picture to the right). The golfers politely offered us 'right of way' but we waited to watch their tee shots - all pretty good, so no embarrassments. As we then passed them, I asked "which hole is this?", usually a pretty safe question to ask of any golfer. But clearly I picked a visitor, as his "er.. the sixth, I think" was quietly corrected by another player (perhaps his host) to "the fifth". I confess that I did not explain why I had asked the question, which was in order to get the correct title for my Geograph submission!
