Situated at the corner of Free Hill and Old Ditch in the centre of the village, this former GPO telephone kiosk No.6 is now used for Westbury Book Exchange. The wording inside the box says the following: "Welcome to the Westbury-sub-Mendip Book Exchange. This decommissioned BT phone kiosk was purchased for the village by the Parish Council. Acting on a suggestion made by Janet Fisher, it has been converted into a book exchange. Simply leave your pre-enjoyed book(s) and take any book(s) that you would like to read. There is no charge for this amazing service! The Parish Council accepts no liability for any injury incurred whilst using the kiosk. Enjoy the Book Exchange".
