There's a story in these parts of a ghastly spectre, a headless cyclist who was involved in a nasty accident with a hedge trimmer. He is now doomed to ride the lanes around East Tytherton for eternity with a companion for looking for his head. Don't believe a word of it myself, I've been along these lanes taking photos and have never seen him.
