Located in the old police station building at the SE end of Station Terrace. The police station opened in 1911. In 1989 the building, which had fallen into disrepair, was bought by its current owners. After various uses and then major conversion work, Sergeants restaurant opened in September 1998. Many of the original features have been retained, including a cell which is currently used for storage.
