St Columba's is one of two hospices in Edinburgh. Its aim is to improve the quality of life of people with progressive, far advanced disease and to provide support for their families. It is very highly regarded. This is the wing where inpatients are cared for. It is planned to replace this entire wing with a new nursing wing with more beds, so this view will soon be gone forever.
