Pictured at Easton, near Wells, this is one of the last trains to use the line and was pictured after the closure of passenger services in 1965. The picture clearly shows the deep cutting at Easton with the small goods train climbing up the 1 in 237 incline from Westbury Sub Mendip (Lodge Hill station) travelling towards Wells.Parts of the cutting have now been filled in.
