View westward over the north end of the Depot, featuring ex-NB D34 'Glen' 4-4-0 No. 62477 'Glen Dochart' in the yard. Eastfield was the principal Locomotive Depot of the LNER (ex-NBR) in Glasgow, which in 1954 was coded 65A and had an allocation of 141, comprising: 20 4-6-0 (3 LMS, 17 LNE), 19 4-4-0, 25 2-6-0 (6 LMS, 18 LNE), 21 0-6-0, 6 4-4-2T, 7 2-6-2T, 2 0-8-0T, 18 0-6-2T, 21 0-6-0T, 2 0-4-0T, constituting a remarkable variety of types and classes. The 'Glen' would have been used mainly on West Highland Line passenger trains.
