Located within the grounds of the Manygates Education Centre, a grade II listed monument erected in 1897, designed by W T Thresh of Wakefield. LBS Number: 444630 A wreath is laid each year to commemorate the death of Richard, Duke of York, by Wakefield Historical Society. At this years ceremony, held in early January, a standard bearing his coat of arms was also displayed, marking the 550th anniversary of his death.
