This track follows the stream along the floor of Comfort Wood, to emerge at Image in a field below Newton Farm, where there is a permissive path up to the farm and the road. Comfort Wood is owned by the National Trust (part of the Cotehele Estate), and was formerly planted with mainly coniferous trees: however, most of the coniferous planting has now been harvested, and the woodland is once again predominantly, if sparsely, deciduous.
