Still bearing its London County Council lettering and the date 1901, the station has a certain old world charm. One of the resident Mercedes-Benz Atego appliances waits behind the open door for the next shout (which happened around 15 minutes after this photo was taken). The advert on the right reminds people to fit and check smoke alarms in their homes.
