From the ridge, just north of Thatched House Lodge. From the escarpment on the west side of the Park you can see for miles. Among the more distant landmarks visible are Royal Holloway College at Egham, the Hog's Back, Ranmore church (on the North Downs west of Dorking), and the Mole Gap. Windsor Castle is no longer easy to pick out, being obscured by recent building - though you may still be able to see it from somewhere along the ridge. Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve.
