Looking north along Cooling Street from near the junction with Perry Hill. The railway bridge can be seen in the distance. The red-brick building is now a private residence, by the name of Satis House - but I seem to remember that about 30 years ago it was a pub (with frosted-glass windows), under the unlikely name of 'The Staff of Life'. Whether that was its original name, I just don't know.
