Rather than showing it in close-up, this photograph is intended to show the bench mark in its situation at the north-western corner of the Image The text on it reads "O S / B M / G1635". According to the Ordnance Survey's own records, this is a first-order flush bracket bench mark, whose height has been determined as 4.7862 metres above Newlyn datum; it is 0.6 metres above ground level.
